Recension : Grusom - II

In Swenglish:
Unfortunately, this review is a bit late, as it was one of the albums that I had planned to listen to during my vacation, but when I my phone stolen, that plan fell trough. But enough about that, now on to the review.
Danish Grusom is back with the sequel to their brilliant debut, this time with the fancy title II.
Much are the same since the debut. The organ-driven suggestive doomsday blues, the groove and Nicolaj's emotional and moody singing. So basically, you can read the review from the debut album, because everything in that still applies.
But there are also some new features. The production and sound image are more stylish and polished, without therefore damaging the feeling. The songs have a more hit quality, without being silly. There is more pressure in the guitars and organ. All to the better so to speak.

I do not really know what it's with me when it comes to Danish? Even though I hardly understand anything (which neither the Danes do if you believe this sketch), I have always liked to hear the language sung ever since the Gasolin days. So the song "Vågn Op (Wake Up)" makes it a little extra fun.In other words, it's really good this time as well. And even if the debut had the pleasure of the novelty, I can only give the new album a full pot, because I think it's a bit better overall.
