Dagens Musiktips : King Buffalo - Quickening

Det är väl inte direkt någon hemlighet att jag gillat King Buffalo galet mycket sedan tidernas begynnelse. Nya smakprovet "Quickening" från kommande plattan, Longing To Be The Mountain, sänker inte direkt mina förväntingar.
Grabbarna fortsätter att skapa stämningsfull och smekande psykedelisk musik. Quickening är på gränsen till hypnotisk i sin inbäddning av monotoni och den svala värmen från Seans sång. Och sedan mot slutet, i övergången mellan det monotona och bombastiska, där bor ren magi.



Nya plattan finns att förbeställa i lite olika format och skepnader. Själv skulle jag vilja ha den vinyl som man kommer att sälja på livespelningarna (ruggigt snygg), men eftersom den är limiterad lär den ta slut fort under deras kommande östkust turné i USA. Jag kan bara hoppas att dom återkommer till Sverige snart igen.

It's no secret that I have liked King Buffalo crazy much since the beginning of time. The new teaser "Quickening" from the upcoming album, Longing To Be The Mountain, does not directly lower my expectations. 
The guys continue to create moody and soothing psychedelic music. Quickening is on the verge of hypnotic in its embedding monotony and the cooling warmth of Sean's song. And then towards the end, in the transition between monotonous and bombastic, there lives pure magic.

The new album is available to pre order in a few different formats and shapes. I myself would like to have the vinyl that they will sell on the tour (scary nice), but as it's limited, it will probably sell out  soon during their upcoming East Coast tour in the United States. I can only hope that they will return to Sweden again soon.
